We highly recommend the use of the John Guest tube inserts on hot water plumbing systems for added pipe support. However, this doesn't mean that you can't use them on your cold water plumbing system to minimise the risk of burst pipes or fittings etc. The inserts will act as strength for the internal integrity of the pipe keeping its shape therefore stopping any deformation that may occur with hot water.
For use, simply insert them into the end of the pipe you wish to join or connect and then continue to push fit that pipe into the desired fitting, ensuring you go the full depth for the fitting to lock on. You can even go one step further and finish the joint off with our John Guest red collet clips which will then stop the pipe and fitting from being accidentally detached from each other, leaving you with a pretty leak proof joint.
